What to Expect

Visitors

Mt. Tabor Art Walk provides an opportunity to view and purchase high-quality art produced by local, Southeast Portland artists. Set in the historic Mt. Tabor neighborhood, the art walk is an ideal way to support local artists and spend a day with family and friends at the height of spring. The art walk will proceed rain or shine, so come prepared. Some artists provide drinks and snacks as well as restroom facilities. If the weather is warm, plan to bring water. Parking is available throughout the neighborhood. A few artists may request that you wear masks to enter their space.

Artists

New artists applying to the Mt. Tabor Art Walk will find a welcoming community of diverse artists, many of whom have participated in the art walk for years. Compared with many shows, the application and jury process is relatively simple, providing an excellent “first show” opportunity. Over the art walk weekend, on average, each site is visited by 400 to 500 people each day, and total sales for each artist range from $100 to $1,500. A post-art walk social gathering (a potluck dinner) helps us strengthen our evolving community of artists.
